Wee Family Farm is seeking the right person to join the farm as a business partner. I’m open to mentoring an aspiring farmer or partnering with someone experienced. The farm has room to expand both livestock and crop production, and I’m open to exploring new directions that align with your interests.
Farmer Ann's goals:
Empower an aspiring farmer with access to land (and guidance if needed)
Increase farm production beyond what I can achieve alone.
Feed our local community.
Build cooperative relationships with like-minded farmers
Support each other so we can have days off while confident our animals and crops are well tended in our absence.
I’d like to start with a short-term trial, with the potential to grow into a multi-year co-farming partnership. I’m open to consider how we share the land, such as a profit-sharing agreement, co-grazing lease, or other equitable arrangement. I’m not offering salaried employment or selling the land. I am open to starting with WWOOF-style, or sharecrop arrangement.
About me:
I’m a science-minded, food-loving, left-leaning, female farmer who values sustainability and collaboration. I’ve worked in organic education and farm management for 20+ years and co-founded the School of Adaptive Agriculture. I enjoy homesteading projects like cheesemaking, canning, baking, and natural building— happy to share those skills! I am straight but not narrow and proud to offer a safe and welcoming place for members of the LGBT community.
About the farm:
Located between McMinnville and Sheridan, about 50 miles southwest of Portland. Surrounded by forest and pasture, with access to neighboring land for grazing and foraging. The farm has a productive well, spring, and creeks.
Housing:
This can be a residential or off-site arrangement. On-farm housing options include space for your tiny home, RV, or yurt (with power and water hookup but no septic). I am willing to invest in a wall tent after building a connection. Starlink internet and on-grid power available. A room in the farmhouse is available during a short trial stay.
If interested, email ann@weefamilyfarm.com to introduce yourself — Please mention where you found out about this opportunity, your availability, housing needs, any animals or partners you’d bring, and what projects interest you most. I look forward to connecting!
